ESP "Electrical Snap Patch"

Autotime introduces ESP (Electrical Snap Patch) Connectors.

ESP connectors can be sewn easily into clothing and technology garments, allowing extensions of connectivity that up until now have not been possible. ESP connectors can be used for a variety of audio applications. Autotime currently manufactures the "SYKE Headphone Headband" which integrates speakers within a fleece headband utilizing the ESP connector. Other audio applications capable of incorporating the use of ESP technology with speakers include hats, caps or even stereo coats and jackets. The wearable computer is now more readily designed using the ESP connector. Sensors, display panels or keypads may be sewn within a garment and connected to the ESP, enabling easy connections to the host computer.

A patented, molded custom cable assembly is available that snaps into the ESP connector. Gold plated contacts insure reliability and the opposing end of the cable is terminated into a standard 3.5mm phono plug for interfacing to the host computer or amplifier. A special add on board is also available allowing up to eight digital signals to be controlled through the cable assembly.

ESP kits are available for $89. Includes 6 ESP, ESP cables and 1 Syke headband. more
